Thank also go to: Ball Patron, Lord Black of Brentwood; Doug Wills, chairman of the London Press Club; the London Press Club Ball committee for its invaluable efforts; and to Journalists’ Charity chair Jill Palmer; and for her wonderfully witty Graces, the Reverend Canon Dr Alison Joyce, rector of St Bride’s in Fleet Street, the ‘journalists’ cathedral’.
Guests will be invited to dig deep and enjoy bidding, using the tablets on your table, in our ‘money can’t buy’ Givergy silent auction and to make donation directly to the charity.
This is Ray Massey and Robert Jobson’s fourth year as joint chairmen of the London Press Club Ball and, with the generous support of sponsors and guests, they hope to make it a landmark fundraising evening by hitting our £100,000 target for funds raised by this event for the Journalists’ Charity since 2014. That is double the total amount raised in the previous four years.
Fabulous entertainment is provided by the brilliant cast of The London Cabaret Club and talented singer Georgia Crandon.
